A - Authentic
An example that is authentic but does not receive a numerical grade due to its extremely poor condition.

1 - (FP) Fair to Poor
This card shows significant wear, heavy creases, rounded corners, and additional damage such as scuffing, stains, chipped edges, graffiti, or discoloration. It may also be missing small pieces.

2 - (G) Good
This card exhibits more obvious wear than a 3-VG card, with multiple creases, scratches, discoloration, light stains, and possible graffiti.

3 - (VG) Very Good
The corners are rounded, with surface wear covering up to half of the card. This can include scuffing, scratches, several creases on both the front and back, noticeable gloss loss, and visible stains or edge wear.

4 - (VGE) Very Good to Excellent
This card is similar to a 5-EX card, but the corners are more rounded, and there is more noticeable wear. It may feature a crease on the front or back and potentially a stain.

5 - (EX) Excellent
A lightly used card, or one with significant off-centering. The corners may be slightly rounded or fuzzy. There is surface wear, possible chipped edges, some gloss loss, and a slight crease, but not fully through the card.

6 - (ENM) Excellent to Near Mint
This card resembles a 6.5-ENM+ card. Three or four corners show slight wear, and there may be minor surface wear or light scratches.

6.5 - (ENM+) Excellent to Near Mint Plus
Three corners showing slight wear. Minor imperfections may include surface wear, printing defects, or slight scratches.

7 - (NM) Near Mint
Two or three corners showing slight wear. There might be visible surface scratches and a few minor imperfections along the edges, borders, or picture quality.

7.5 - (NM+) Near Mint Plus
Similar to an 8-NMM card. One or two corners may show slight fraying, and the card might be angle cut.

8 - (NMM) Near Mint to Mint
T It may have one or two corners with slight wear and possibly a wax mark or hard-to-see surface scratches. There may be two or three minor imperfections in color, borders, edges, or picture quality.

8.5 - (NMM+) Near Mint to Mint Plus
Similar to a 9-Mint card. The card may have a slight white mark on one corner, a minor printing defect (e.g., a print line), a small surface scratch, or a slight chip on an edge.

9 - Mint
It may have one minor flaw, such as a printing imperfection or a rough edge (as in O-Pee-Chee cuts).

9.5 - (NGM) Near Gem Mint
This card meets all the criteria of the above grade, with centering typically 

10 - Gem Mint
This is a flawless card with no noticeable imperfections.
